Vaccination & sponsorship update

Last Saturday marked the vaccination of a 110 dogs at Pets Villa. To all who have donated, we thank you for making this programme possible. However, due to the limited manpower we have, one vet and 2 nurses, it was not an easy task getting hold of the dogs especially since majority of our dogs are allowed to roam free in the compound. Also, due to limited volunteers who are actually willing to do work, our kennel keeper was overwhelmed by having to handle the dogs during vaccinations as well as feed and clean. Thankfully, 2 kind gentlemen (our new volunteers) had volunteered their services and cleaned up the kennels last Saturday.

Here are some photos of the vaccination process on Saturday.

This Saturday, 18th July will mark the second round of vaccinations. As the vet can only process receipts after this final round, for all who have contributed and await their receipts, please hang on and give the vet clinic some time as the input of 250 dogs into their system at one go is no easy task. As soon as I get hold of receipts, they will be mailed out. Should you have any queries, do swing by on Saturday or Sunday to see the vet in action or check with Cathy or myself.

Eunos is back from the vet and doing well. He is recovering very slowly due to his old age. Thankfully, a kind lady has come forward to sponsor his treatment at the Animal Doctors and Eunos was able to enjoy excellent care there. We thank them for taking care of our dear Eunos and we thank this lady for sharing her love for dogs with Eunos. He is now back at the kennels and we hope he will recover well.

Blessing is happy, healthy and bouncy as ever. She was released last Saturday and is doing well. She loves her Sunday walks outside Pets Villa and is eating well. Her stitches will be removed this weekend. For those, who have helped her, we can’t thank you enough. The look on her face now would show you how thankful this little fighter is! Do come by to visit Blessing when you can.

John will also be going for a check-up this Thursday as he too has melted the heart of two ladies who have chosen to aid us in sponsoring John’s full medical check-up. We thank them for offering aid to John and allowing him to keep up with the amazing spirit he has and we hope will always have.

We also saw the adoption of Roger, one of our black puppies yesterday, 13th July. Roger was born with a slight leg defect. However, he is now doing very well in his new home with a family who knew he was the one for them regardless of any of the problems he may face in the future. There will be an update with more pictures in due time. However, we still have two black female puppies looking for homes. Both are extremely unique with great personalities. The bigger sister has an extremely furry coat to boast of while the smaller one is a short haired dog.  Please give them a chance of a life time if you can! Do Call Christine @ 97937162 should you be able to provide them with a forever home.

Our lovely Kiki and paintbrush have also been sponsored by an amazing couple who cannot wait to take them out for walks and days out at the park. Sadly, Kiki being a rescue from a hit and run accident is taking a longer while to warm up. However, we are so thankful that the couple have chosen to be really patient and are gradually coaxing her to take walks outside our compound first. We thank this wonderful people who make our rescue efforts worthwhile.

For those who are keen to sponsor a dog, the rewards are endless. We have Blacky Seet a Black Beauty. She enjoys long walks and showers. This girl will not leave your sight once she knows you are a special someone. Sponsorship only costs $130 per month and allows you to take the dogs out for long walks and treat them as your own. It also makes them feel really special which is a priceless gift. Do drop by on a Sunday should you be keen to take up sponsorship of a dog or give Christine a call @ 97937162 to find out more.

We also continue to appeal for help to purchase our monthly supply of Sebolyse shampoo for the dogs as well as cleaning agents, such as mops, scrubs, floor detergent of any brand and dishwashing liquid of any brand. Do contact Christine @ 97937162 should you have any queries about these items and how you can help.

At the same time, UPet Megamart at 11 Pasir Ris Farmway 1, Blk A, Aqua Fauna Centre is having a great deal for wet food. A brand, Ala Carte is on a 1 for 1 sales offer. This brand is loved by several of the smaller dogs we house at Pets Villa. For those who are keen to sponsor the food for our lovely dogs, do head down to UPetMegamart and inform them of the amount you are donating to Pets Villa and make the payment to them. Do contact Christine before you make a purchase so we can arrange to go down and pick it up.  Should you have any queries, do contact Christine @ 97937162.

Thank you all for offering your help and opening your hearts. Have a great week ahead! We look forward to your visit soon!
