Help us help them!
This week has been a very difficult week. It is marked by the hospitalisation of three of our lovely animals. Silver, a lovely dog that we wrote about a while ago is now warded at the Animal Doctors. He will be undergoing an operation today as his eye condition has taken a turn for the worst and one his prolapsed eye ball will need to be removed. Silvers skin has improved after his first visit and he is still as happy as ever. Silvers stay at the vet as well as the operation is going to cost us quite a bit. It is not going to be easy as Silver has no owner and his sponsor has already helped us with so very much. Therefore, we will need to reach out for help and we hope our prayers are answered just as Silver’s was when his owners no longer wanted him.

To make things even worst, we have a lovely 16 year old Jack Russell warded at The Animal Doctors as he is suffering from a serious case of kidney failure. Fei Ba was brought to Pets Villa as his owner, an elderly lady had passed away. Her son was not willing to care for the dogs and chose to send them away. Sadly, he claims he is unable to pay for the medical fees and does not seem to know much about the dogs at all. Fei Ba came in with Fei Zai, another Jack Russell. Both are lovely dogs and get along with all the bigger dogs at Pets Villa. In fact Fei Zai has become such a naughty boy and even chases after a few of the bigger dogs. Fei Ba is old and we doubt he will pull though, however, we have given him a chance and he does seem to be showing signs of improvement but his bill is at a high of about $400 now. Fei Zai, the younger dog will need to go to the vet for a check up too to ensure all is well with him as we know little of their history.
If you can help Fei Ba and Fei Zai pull though these tough times, you can contribute by:

We also had to rush one of our more senior dogs Punggol White to the vet. Punggol white is suffering from heart failure and requires expensive medication to keep his heart pumping. Without this medication, Punggol White will not be able to survive. He will require at least $200 worth of medication on a monthly basis to keep his heart pumping. Can you help us keep him alive? Every amount will help as we save up to help this dear boy.

Urgent Appeal
We are now down to 2 cartons of can food which will last us two days. Can food runs out fast as we require it to mix the dry food and rice for the dogs. The dogs eat Natures Gift or Divine. Each carton of Natures Gift costs about $28 while a carton of Divine is $33.
If you are keen to donate, you can go down to UPet Megamart to make a purchase. They are located at 11 Pasir Ris Farmway 1, Blk A, Aqua Fauna Centre. Do let them know it is donation for Pets Villa and they will send it over to us if you are unable to. You can also reach them @ 65837858. The prices at UPet Megamart are lower and you will be able to get more for the amount you are willing to spend.
If you would like to donate but cannot find the time to come down, feel free to call Christine @ 97937162 to arrange a method of donation for the can food. The dogs at Pets Villa are not picky and will eat any brand, they always count their blessings.
Adoption
A few months ago, Ini, a Shih Tzu was rescued by a kind lady who found him abandoned along with a few other dogs. The rest have all found homes except for Ini. Ini is suffering from heartworm but should be clear of it this December 2009. He will then be able to go for his sterilisation as well. Ini is a HDB approved dog. He is a great dog with a lovely personality. Very friendly and gets along well with other dogs. We are unsure of his age as he was cruelly left on the streets to fend for himself. He is probably around 6 years of age. If you or your family can offer Ini a great home, please Call Christine @ 97937162. Ini will only be allowed to his new home after sterilisation. Therefore, now would be a great time to bond with him at Pets Villa before making the important decision of adoption. Ini will fit in well with a family who can give him the love he deserves. Please help us give Ini a chance of a lifetime!
