The Good and the Bad
Finally, Grace has come home. Grace was rehomed and later ran away from her home. She was found last week by a group of lovely girls who saw her photos and alerted ALL. We are thankful to the wonderful group of girls for helping our Grace find her way home. Grace is now back at Pets Villa, happy, safe and sound. We would like to thank all who lent a helping hand in whatever ways they could to ensure Grace’s safe return. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Dalmay, is a wonderful elderly dog who was cruelly abandoned by her owners due to her age. Dalmay is now happily adopted and living in Germany with her new owners. Here are some photos that really make our day. We would like to share the joy of our work with you. We are glad we took her in when nobody thought an old dog like Dalmay would find a home to call her own. Here is a glimpse of Dalmay’s amazing life with her new doggy pals at her owner’s holiday inn in Spain. We thank her owners for giving her an opportunity of a lifetime and sending us such sweet updates of her.
More spectacular news to share includes the rehoming of three of our lovely puppies. Newton, Albert and Alex aka Onyx are now happily rehomed. We would like to thank these wonderful families for choosing to adopt rather than buy a pet. Newton is now enjoying his life with the company of a lovely couple who simply love his antics. Albert is having an amazing time with his new pals, a ginger cat and a little chiwawa. He enjoys his runs in the garden with his new pals. As for Alex aka Onyx, his new German shepherd pal loves him to bits. So much so, Onyx now spends his time napping on his new pal’s belly. We are glad these lovely boys were given an opportunity of a lifetime and saved from the streets with the promise of a better life. They now enjoy a life of luxury compared to the many that continue to roam our streets with the simple hope of a meal each day. We will update with new photos on our first house visit to these naughty boys.
Sadly, with the good, often comes the bad.
Cases of abandonment and cruelty continue to soar. Little Kiwi is one such case. Kiwi’s owners simply left her behind. Never to return. The poor girl sat in a field playing with the dogs as they ran by. One by one, the dogs left for home, with their owners. Kiwi’s owners were nowhere in sight. This innocent girl was left without water and food. All she had on was a red collar. We looked around anxiously for the people who left her behind. Nobody knew or saw her owners. We waited and prayed they would return but nobody came. How harsh and cruel this world can be to the young and innocent who ask for little but love and a roof over their heads. Little Kiwi remains as happy as can be. She loves the company of other dogs, bigger or smaller than her. She would be a perfect addition to a family with lots of love to give. Kiwi is amazing. Despite her sad tale, she continues to brighten our lives. She seems to know no sorrow. Do you have a forever home for Kiwi? She is young and deserves far more. Please help us spread the word about Kiwi. If you have a place in your heart for our Kiwi, please contact us at 97937162 or 96973491 or drop us an email at general@animalloversleague.com
We thought we’ve seen it all. Sadly, the cruelty never ends. Faith is one dog that has seen it all. ALL can no longer afford to house anymore animals. However, Faith truly needed our help. We had no heart to turn her down. Faith is an extremely friendly stray that spent her time in the jungles sleeping and waiting for her next meal. She never fights back, never attacks and never bites. She was bullied by the strays that lived around her. This was not the worst part of her ordeal. It was a man who would land her in the state she is currently in. A man was seen using a wooden stick to hit Faith repeatedly and later poke this stick into her anus. An elderly man gave chase when he saw this but could not catch up in time. Hence, this cruel man still remains at large. Due to this cruel treatment, Faith became immobile due to her swollen leg and hurt muscles as well as bones. She was also unable to pass motion for days due to the pressure and pain. Faith still continues to trust humans and was a dear at the vet. No struggle and no need for a muzzle. She simply let the vets and nurses do what they needed to. Faith is now in cage rest and has finally pooed on her own with the aid of some pain killers. Faith truly has faith. She has not given up on mankind despite the state she is now in due to her friendliness and love for humans. Faith gives us the strength to go on as we want to see her strong and happy again. Please help us help Faith. Show her that the trust and faith she has in us is worthwhile. You can help contribute to Faith’s medical care by:
1. Writing a cheque to ‘The Animal Doctors Pte Ltd’ and send it to:

We are currently trying to build an additional area in our garden for the dogs in the kennels and enclosed areas to run for a few hours by taking turns. This area will be for the dogs that do not get along well with other dogs as well as the several dogs that are blind and old. These dogs need the space to roam and many fall victims to bullying by the younger and more domineering dogs if we are not around to watch when we release them. We currently house 350 dogs with only one kennel keeper and a few regular volunteers. We hope to offer more space and love to these dogs who only get a pat or two which they truly appreciate. With this enclosed area meant for the dogs to roam and enjoy more space, we are sure many will be happier and thankful. Many have been cooped up in their kennels for years and are taken out by a few volunteers who choose to help make a difference in the lives of the dogs and take them out for a weekly walk. This has made some of them so happy that when they see or hear these familiar voices they howl and scream for attention as they cannot wait for their walk. Here is a video for more information on how you can help us improve their lives.
Visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fp8VVrGbObs. We would like to thank our wonderful volunteer Maryanne along with her project team for helping us provide the unseen ones with a voice.
Do contact us at general@animalloversleague.com or 97937162 if you can help make a difference in their lives. The expected cost of this is $6000. Every dollar counts towards a better life for these lovely dogs. No amount is too little. We are sure they will be more than thankful. See them on their rare walks and you will understand.
Thank you for helping us keep them alive. Please help us spread the word about the wonderful animals at ALL that need your help!
