Dear friends and animal lovers,

We are overwhelmed by the support and generosity of so many of you in response to our recent appeal for help.  Your kind donations, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated by all of us, especially the dogs and cats of Pets Villa.  Your outpouring of support has enabled us to exceed our target of $18,933.15.  We are now establishing a  buffer fund so as to never put the animals in such a desperate situation ever again.

In line with our long term plans, we have decided to set aside any extra monies raised to our Building Fund.  We have been talking of a move to a bigger and better facility for our animals for a few years now, but never had the financial means to actually set it into motion.  You have now given us the confidence that it can, with your continued support, be achieved.

We are now operating at full capacity, having to make do with kennels/catteries that can do with better design and are open to sunshine and fresh air.  Many of our structures are also showing signs of wear and tear after 6 years.  A move to a larger area will allow us to accept the animals that we now have to turn away due to space constraints, something we find very painful to do.  It will also allow us to have a hand with the design of the open concept structures that can give our animal residents maximum freedom.  Most of them have had a hard life, we wish very much to give them the happiest life they can possibly have in a sheltered environment.  Another important reason for the move would be that our current overheads will actually be reduced, something we are unable to discuss in this letter.

So please do continue with your support, in cash or kind, for which we and the animals are most grateful.  From time to time we hope to depend on your generosity for our special projects.  And do send the message out to your friends to help extend the reach of our support base.  It is only with your help that we are able to achieve all that we set out to do for the animals that call Pets Villa home.
